Peter joined Thew & McCann in 2003 as the company’s Marketing Director, a position in which he played a key role in the advancement of the company’s marketing and business growth plans.
He progressed to his current position as Managing Director in 2008, overseeing the company’s strategic business planning, general operations and marketing strategy execution. Peter began his career working as a technical consultant providing expert scientific advice to rural communities and businesses throughout Queensland and New South Wales.
He then gained significant marketing and general business management experience with a major horticultural marketing organisation, before spending a number of years as a professional business consultant, specialising in strategic marketing advice and business development.
Peter has a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Queensland and an MBA also from the University of Queensland.
Steve Hunt is our Operations Manager and is responsible for the efficient operation of the company’s production and warehouse functions.
Steve has brought many decades of experience in different countries and in variety of industries to his role of ensuring that we meet customers’ expectations on the delivery, quality and safety of our products.
Over the past twenty years, Steve has progress through an impressive range of positions as a supervisor and manager of complex manufacturing and warehouse operations for some of the largest companies in Australia.
Those positions have included Team Coordinator of three production areas for Fisher & Paykel Electronics and Healthcare, Business Unit/Operations Manager at Amcor Fibre Packaging and senior warehouse management roles for Coles Group and Bevchain.
Earlier in his career, Steve worked in the UK in mechanical engineering and technical roles for a range of companies.
Steve holds numerous qualifications, including an Advanced Diploma in Mechanical Engineering and a Certificate IV in Business Leadership and Resource Management.
Keith has a broad range of experience within the Australian Defence Force and resource industry as a project manager and trainer. Keith has provided services to a diverse range of customers such as BHP, Queensland Rail and the Australian Navy. Notable project work includes the design of electrical engineering systems for BHP that involved the design and implementation of the execution plan covering risk management and safety procedures. With the Australian Navy Keith worked as the Quality Manager taking responsibility of the coordination of submarine repairs and maintenance and in other roles gained a solid grounding in all electrical disciplines aboard naval ships and submarines.
Keith is an integral member of the TMAC Design & Development team. Some of his achievements include completing the technical submissions for several tenders, undertaking electrical Type Testing of Portable Earthing devices and powerline connectors as well as mechanical Type Testing of TMAC Tools & Equipment and composite crossarms. Keith provides technical support within the TMAC team and is a major contributor to the products developed by our Design & Development team.
Keith was awarded the Australia Day Medal for his dedication and pursuit of excellence for both the maintenance of Electrical Systems and staff development and holds a Diploma of Engineering in Electrical Systems.
